Gayle Bell, a contemporary artist, Orlando native and graduate from UCF, creates images of her world, however she sees it and wherever it  may lead.  Her interests are varied and her love of art encompasses many subjects, from portraits to still life to abstracts,  which she indulges depending on mood.  She is currently in the fellowship program at Crealde School of Art in Winter Park assisting with the children’s art program and developing her portfolio.  Lately, she has been working on appropriations from the masters, such as da Vinci and Magritte.  Either copying them for practice or revising them for her own personal enjoyment, the master painters of the past are a continuing source of inspiration.   Gayle is especially drawn to creating portraiture. Whether painting people or pets, she never tires of the joyful challenge of attempting to capture the personality and vitality of our fellow earthly creatures.  Some examples of her images are here and on Flickr.

Further info about her art is in the  FAQs sheet.  Questions or Comments?  Please contact here.

Thank you for stopping by and take care.

“A work of art is a world in itself reflecting senses and emotions of the artist’s world.”  — Hans Hofmann
