Gayle Bell, contemporary artist, Orlando native and fine arts graduate from UCF, creates painted and drawn images of her world, however she sees it and wherever it may lead.  With eclectic interests, she creates a variety of artworks, from portraits to still life to abstracts and nudes.  She has also done illustrating, including the artwork for the book Sunny the Rooster.

As a long-time fellow at Crealde School of Art in Winter Park, she assisted with community and artistic events and the children’s art program.  She now does commission work, including portraits of people and pets.   Between native gardening and volunteer activities, she likes to indulge in appropriations from the masters, such as da Vinci, Michelangelo and Magritte and is especially fond of palette knife painting.

Gayle is drawn to portraiture and never tires of the joyful challenge of attempting to capture the personality and vitality of our fellow earthly creatures.  Some examples of her images are here.
